1966 Mercedes Benz 230 Sedan

The 1966 Mercedes-Benz 230 sedan is a refined and well-engineered vehicle, embodying the brand’s reputation for quality and durability. Part of the W110 heckflosse “Fintail” series, it features subtle tail fins, a signature design element of the era, along with a stately and understated profile. Under the hood, the 230 is powered by a 2.3L inline-six engine producing around 105 horsepower, paired with either a 4-speed manual or an optional automatic transmission. Inside, the cabin is elegantly appointed with high-quality materials, including wood trim and comfortable seating, emphasizing Mercedes-Benz’s focus on luxury. Safety innovations such as a padded dashboard and crumple zones showcase the brand’s commitment to passenger protection. The 230 was known for its solid construction, effortless cruising capabilities, and longevity, which contributes to its enduring appeal among classic car enthusiasts today. This beautiful example was purchased by Ferrell Meritt from the original owner in Sacramento, California, in 1989. The car remained inoperable from 1991 to 2021, at which point Dustin Meritt began working to restore the old “Finny” and get it back on the road. On loan from Dustin and Nikki Meritt.
