Behind the Scenes

Our Story

The Midwest Dream Car Collection began as a private passion and opened its doors to the public in 2019 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Today, we proudly showcase over 65 vehicles that span the full history of the automobile—from an 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen to modern marvels of automobile engineering.

As the most prestigious car collection in the region, there’s something for everyone—rare finds, historical gems, exotics, and timeless classics. Thanks to our active loaner network, exhibits rotate regularly, ensuring there’s always something new to discover. We’re always exploring new and exciting ways to share our love of cars with the Manhattan community and greater Midwest region.

We extend a special thanks to Ward and Brenda Morgan, the museum’s founders and current major benefactors, whose vision and generosity continue to drive the success of MDCC.

Whether you’re planning a visit, looking for a unique venue rental, or just want to explore automotive history, we invite you to experience this extraordinary collection for yourself!
