Midwest Dream Car Collection consists of 65+ cars representing over one hundred years of automotive history. Visitors are welcome to explore the show floor at their own pace. Volunteer docents are available to answer questions and share the stories and history that make this versatile collection come to life. Select exhibits provide guests an opportunity to sit in the driver’s seat and enjoy vehicle interiors up close. On the east end of the museum you will find the Mechanic’s Bay where Master Technician, Nick Poell can be found working on vehicles most weekdays.
Through the generosity of friends, car clubs, and car enthusiasts around the region, MDCC has the privilege of showcasing incredible vehicles, in addition to the permanent collection. These temporary exhibits rotate regularly throughout the year. For more information or to submit a vehicle for consideration, please contact Doug Meloan, Museum Curator and Director of Vehicle Operations.
To maintain the integrity of our collection, MDCC has a research team which carefully evaluates items submitted for display. This team meets once each month to review all offers and will consider an object’s overall condition, rarity, originality, authenticity, history, and provenance. Standard loan agreements are for a minimum of three months. If you are interested in loaning your vehicle for temporary display or donating an automotive artifact, please contact Doug Meloan, Museum Curator and Director of Vehicle Operations.
