1937 LaSalle Custom Lowrider

The LaSalle luxury automobile brand was introduced in 1927 by General Motors’ Cadillac division. Conceived by Alfred P. Sloan and designed by legendary stylist Harley Earl, LaSalle was created as a companion marque to fill the price gap between Buick and Cadillac.

This striking 1937 LaSalle combines classic American styling with modern lowrider craftmanship. the car features a 5-inch chopped top, smooth running boards, hand-fabricated front bumper guards, and distinctive 1960 Cadillac taillights. Blas Ledezma painted the car with the roof finished in custom multi-color paints by House of Kolor. The meticulous bodywork was completed by Blas and his friend Bruce.

Underneath, the LaSalle rides on a 1970 Nova frame and is powered by a modern 5.3 liter LS V-8 from a 2003 Chevrolet truck. Its air suspension features a Viair valve system and air bags by Slam Specialties, giving the car its signature low stance. Additional custom touches include 15-inch artillery wheels, chrome work by DeTray Plating, Edge 3 computer gauges, and a custom interior by Martin Aloniz.

Together, these modifications transform this prewar LaSalle into a unique expression fo both traditional and modern lowrider style.
