Powercat Motorsports is K-State’s Society of Automotive Engineers Formula Race team. Formula SAE is the world’s largest and most prestigious design competition with 18 international competitions and over 800 active teams. Powercat Motorsports is proud to represent Kansas State University every year since 1997 in the internal combustion engine class. This car, “Leopard 2.0” was designed and built during the 2023-2024 school year. It competed at Formula SAE Michigan in May 2024 placing 10th out of 120 teams and Formula Wheat 2024, a competition hosted by Powercat Motorsports, placing 1st out of 8 teams.
