Located at Seth Child Road and Anderson Avenue in Manhattan, Kansas, MDCC is easily accessible and a short 15 minutes from the I-70 interstate.
Visitors are welcome to explore the collection at their own pace. Informational placards at each exhibit will inform and direct the self-guided tour. Light snacks are available for purchase in the gift shop. Beer and wine are also available for purchase at our beer and wine self-serve tap wall.
Children of all ages are welcome to visit the museum. There is plenty of room for strollers to navigate the show floor and our Kids Zone is available for children to explore and create in their own space. All visitors must refrain from touching the vehicles on the main show floor.
MDCC is a pet-free facility and non-service animals will not be admitted.
Free, self-parking accommodations are located on the north side of the building.
Most public areas in the museum are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available throughout the facility. A wheelchair is available at the front desk upon request, free of charge.
Personal cameras and photography are allowed in the museum. Elaborate photography equipment such as tripods are subject to staff approval. Professional photography such as portrait or bridal is not allowed inside the museum without advanced permission. Commercial photo shoots may be arranged with our staff in advance.
MDCC is typically closed for the following holidays – Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day and Independence Day.
Group tours make for a unique company outing or team building experience. We offer both staff-guided and self-guided tours at a discounted group rate of $5/person (+tax) for groups of 15-30. One payment for the entire group is preferred. Tours -range from 45-60 minutes and can be customized according to group interest and age. Please contact our Events Manager to make arrangements. Beer and wine are available for purchase by the ounce. Check in with the front desk to purchase a prepaid beer wall card. Then use the card to access sixteen beers on-tap at our self-serve beer and wine wall. Beers are rotated seasonally, and four premium wines are also available on-tap. Recycle your used beer card on the way out or bring it back for your next visit if a few dollars remain.
